Who we are
The “Embracing Art Volunteer Team” is the initiative of three young Venezuelans living on the East Coast of the United States. They were inspired by a simple philosophy – “ Social changes through Social Responsibility” – and have managed to develop a meeting platform between different cultures, languages and socio-economic classes. They have established communication links among children, teenagers, and adults who attend their art workshops, which are sponsored by the EAVT. We intend to create socially conscious environments and to enrich the interaction between groups with social disadvantage.
We passionately believe that through art, in any expression, we can reach our goal of acting as a multiplying channel to spread what we have named the “Inside Out Project”, stimulating the participation of the most vulnerable individuals in their own communities.
This project is not about teaching art per se, it is about using it as a tool to enjoy and appreciate life. With this, we can create, develop and promote a sense of identity and belonging using art as a translator and conductor between disparate groups, as we look to coexist in harmony in the same society.
Our project promotes change, magnifies the spirit and provides happiness. Using art as a stimulus makes us enjoy the learning process, leaving us with a lasting gift.
With the time and the experience gained within our organization, we have evolved, adapting to new ways of communicating with our audience. We have created a broadcasting news channel “ ExpresArt News “ and “ExpresArte”, targeting children and adolescents in the community.
The Bi-lingual Broadcast News is a series of videos that report all the relevant news in the world of art, as well as messages with a high social content, to facilitate the promotion of family values, life values, respect, and responsibility, recognizing the fundamental role of each person in their community.
